TWELVE BAD HABBITS LEADING TO FAILURE


ACROPHOBIA
It is one of the habits normally found in most of us today. It explains the nature of human being where he / she in whatever conditions, never feel good enough about anything. They always complain about the position they are in and never get satisfied with whatever they get.

BLACK AND WHITE
This habit again shows the dragging nature of human psyche, they would always presume that whatever order or work they will perform is against their benefits. They are always against accepting anything, assuming it would hinder their growth and reputation. By doing things in such a manner they not only destroy their capabilities but also waste other precious resources.

PESSIMIST
Being pessimist is again a normal behavior of human nature. In this case the individual develops a negative frame of mind and look for all the negativities involved in anything outright. They consider each and every activity they perform would bring them losses and troubles, thus they become accustomed to refrain from activities which might have actually helped him develop them.

COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER
The persons belonging to this category are never happy with whatsoever positions they have achieved in life. They are never satisfied with the position they are in, in any Organization and at any level. On being at the post of Manager they would want to become CEO, on becoming CEO they would want to become Director, so on so forth. Thus their whole efficiency is wasted in regretting their positions, they do not concentrate on whatever jobs they have in hand and dream about changing their current position, current organization, current job profile etc.

PEACE MAKER
For many of us we may consider the habit of peace making in any individual as positive, however going by the deep meaning of having peace maker quality, it will suggest that these persons are always open for compromises, they try to avoid conflicts at any cost, from this line it should not be understood that conflicts should not be avoided but having a peace maker habit in anyone actually many a time restricts the growth and benefits one could have achieved by being in a conflict. These persons can even move to bear heavy losses by themselves just in order to avoid confrontations with anyone or in any situation; they are not at all ready to express their thoughts in an aggressive manner.

ROUGE
In the habit of being rouge an individual always try to cross the boundaries when it comes to opposing, these persons have the tendency to oppose anything. They consider themselves as the supreme master and try to force in their arguments regardless of their involvement sought or not. They always look to get the things done according to them, even though their suggestion might prove fatal for the whole organization. They are often rigid in their views and never look at the logical aspect of any situation. They cannot figure out between right and wrong and press for their methods being implemented, although they won’t have any.

EMOTIONAL DEAF
The persons having emotional deafness as a habit are considered most difficult to make them understand things; they are right out materialistic and can crush anyone to have their desires fulfilled, they never understand the emotional aspect of any situation and work in a way to get maximum benefits, even it means heavy losses for others. They have in their life no meaning for the inconvenience faced by any individual, nor do they have any moral responsibility.

QUITTER
This habit again comes in the category of generally found nature in human beings. Most of human beings tend to quit anything, not even that the persons having the habit as of a quitter even do not want to start or take part in a new activity. They always hide for cover whenever there is a new responsibility or activity is up for taking. They feel in themselves as incapable and think that any responsibility is beyond their control and hence it should be avoided at any cost. The accepting and working on various activities actually help in the growth of wisdom and enhances our horizon to develop and learn new skills, thus a quitter always run towards the fence and hence never allows his intellects to grow.

REBEL AGAINST AUTHORITY
The individual who is in a habit of always opposing the seniors/authority under any circumstances are also liable for self downfall, and it can definitely be the reason for their own failure. Persons under the influence of this habit are always keen on how to neglect and oppose the orders given by their authority; they do not consider their authority competent enough to take orders from. They always tend to refuse and abstain from working on the guidance given by their superiors and hence create a sense of disgust for others as well in a conducive working environment. They intend to outright overturn the decisions and guidelines provided to them by their authority, hence creating unnecessary friction in the work system.

INABILITY TO CONTROL SPEECH
We may many a time find various persons speaking beyond a certain allowed level; they do not have any control on whatever, whenever, wherever, to whomsoever they speak to. This habit of inability to control speech is, in today’s world becoming one of the major problems for anyone to move towards their own failure, because it’s the magic of words by which one can rule and ruin the whole world. Those having the habit to speak beyond their ethical boundaries always tend to create a bad impression for themselves in the eyes of others and thus never succeed in whatever role they play in life.

WORKAHOLIC
Many a time we come across persons having the habit of being too much devoted in their work. They are considered to be workaholic, and as per a old saying “excess of anything is bad” being workaholic may also sometime can lead to the downfall of a individual. Working too much or too late can create a lot of enemies in the workplace, they are the peers who tend to avoid being workaholic and late workers and hence they would not find your working in such a manner pleasing, this type of differences can actually create a lot of friction among you and your peers and hence can result in the image of yours being shown in the bad light. Thus it is necessary to be dedicated towards work but not exceeding the general level of work done, thus by maintaining a correct balance between work and work hours, one should always avoid becoming workaholic to grow in the longer period of time.

LACK OF VISION
Vision is something that defines happening in the future, vision helps in setting goals for the future, and vision allows one to grow according to the future needs. However, in today’s scenario we can always find individuals having no vision about their future, their career, their goals in life etc. The aspect of having a vision actually plays a major role in defining the growth of an individual. Without a vision there is no goal to achiever and without any goals there are no human efforts involved and without giving any efforts, the failure of an individual is almost certain. Therefore it is necessary to have a clear and positive vision towards anything, be it your goals, your position, your wisdom etc. in order to achieve success.

CONCLUSION
The above twelve factors discussed which if become habit can actually result in the downfall of any individual, the points discussed above are always opened for discussions as no point can always hold true with every individual under every circumstance, the environment is all the way changing at a brisk pace and thus these aspects can hold true under a given set of conditions and not hold true under the different set of conditions. Therefore it is desired to have the right blend of qualities in order to be successful, and work in the best possible way under any situation .
